David Weekley have always been one of my favorite builders to work with at Mueller Austin, not least as I lived in one of their homes here for five years. They have built a variety of garden, estate, yard and row homes, and the Bonnell is one of their popular floor plans from the original Section Four development.
The Bonnell At a Glance:
- row home
- 2 bedrooms upstairs
- separate retreat upstairs
- master bath with separate shower and garden tub
- open living / kitchen
- breakfast bar on kitchen island
- 2.5 baths
- dining room
- 3 star green in Austin Energy Green Building Program
- double garage with alley access
- upper balcony
- large porch
- 1562-1585 sqft
What I really like about the Bonnell is the porch. It runs across the whole front of the home and is a great space to relax and wave the neighbors.
It also sports an extensive balcony, just above the porch, which you can access from both the retreat and the second bedroom.
If you have a North facing one, you will be able to sit out all through the summer and watch the world go by.
The kitchen is open and has David Weekley’s signature feature – a great deal of cabinet storage. Counter space is generous as the sink is located in the large island, so that you can engage with visitors in the living room while preparing food.
This home is one of the smaller market rate row homes, and provides an entry level pricing into the neighborhood. In Section 6 and beyond, the nearest equivalent new David Weekley Row Home is the Welsh which looks very similar though is a little longer and has more indoor living space. The Welsh has less of a breezeway out back, but the layout is essentially the same. In 2013 they started at around the $370,000 mark.
If you would like to be informed when one of these homes becomes available, please get in touch with our Mueller real estate team, or call 512 215 4785.
