With the recent news that Standard Pacific have recently acquired Streetman Homes’ Austin operation, it will be interesting to see if the Whitis Court plan will make a reappearance in Section 7 of Mueller. It is one of the most popular Mueller floor plans on the resale home market, having been built in Section IV predominantly.
What makes the Whitis Court so popular? There were few detached homes with the master bedroom down in the first build out here, and there were even fewer single story homes.
This Standard Pacific Homes plan sits large on the lot (since it’s a single story) and yet has space for private outdoor living at the side of the home, and also space for landscaping at the front beds and the large planter. So it’s one of the lower maintenance homes.
Here are the basics:
- Single story home
- 3 bedrooms + office / gameroom or 4 bedrooms
- 2 or 3 bathrooms
- Kitchen island with breakfast bar and sink
- Separate tub and shower and very large walk in closet in the master bathroom
- Dining room open to kitchen and side patio
- ~2004 sqft
- double garage with alley access
- 3 or 4 out of 5star in Austin Energy’s Green Building Program
These homes were sometimes built on the lots facing the greenways. No matter if they are interior lots or corner lots facing a lake, they are ever popular.
